Hyundai to Release More Fuel-Efficient Hybrid Next Month

Hyundai Motor will release a hybrid version of its mid-sized sedan LF Sonata next month.

The sedan boasts fuel efficiency of up to 18.2 km per liter, the automaker claimed on Tuesday.

"Fuel efficiencies can be different depending on the dimensions of the tire, ranging between 17.7 km and 18.2 km per liter," a Hyundai spokesman said.

But it is up to 8.3 percent more fuel efficient than the previous hybrid version of the YF Sonata, which has a fuel efficiency of 16.8 km per liter.
