SK Chief's Daughter Commissioned as Navy Officer

The daughter of disgraced SK Group chairman Chey Tae-won was commissioned as a Navy officer on Wednesday after 11 weeks of cadet training.

Chey Min-jung (23) was among the 108 new Navy ensigns commissioned in a ceremony at the Korea Naval Academy in Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province.

She was accompanied by her sister and brother as well as her mother Roh So-young, a daughter of former President Roh Tae-woo.

"She seems to have chosen the Navy because she respects her grandfather and loves the sea," her mother said. "Neither my husband nor I opposed her idea of becoming a Navy officer."

Roh Tae-woo was an Army general before he became president.?

Chey's father was unable to make the ceremony because he is in jail for embezzlement.

Chey worked hard just like other ordinary cadets and successfully completed the training, according to Navy officers.

After a five-day leave, Chey will return to the Navy camp next Monday. She will be deployed on a warship in April following 14-week on-board training.

Actor Pierce Brosnan's daughter dies of ovarian cancer

LONDON (Reuters) - Irish actor Pierce Brosnan said on Tuesday that his 41-year-old daughter Charlotte had died after a three year battle with ovarian cancer, the same disease that killed his first wife more than 20 years ago.

Brosnan, 60, who was the fifth actor to take on the role of the fictional British spy 007 in the James Bond movies, said his daughter died last Friday, leaving behind her husband and two children.

Charlotte's mother was Brosnan's first wife, Australian actress Cassandra Harris, who died from the same type of cancer at the age of 43 in 1991.

"Charlotte fought her cancer with grace and humanity, courage and dignity. Our hearts are heavy with the loss of our beautiful dear girl," Brosnan said in a statement.

"We pray for her and that the cure for this wretched disease will be close at hand soon."

Brosnan adopted Charlotte and her brother Christopher in the 1980s after their father died and they took his surname. He went on to have another son, Sean, with Harris.

Brosnan married Keely Shaye Smith in 2001 and the couple has two children.

Angelina Jolie revealed in May that she underwent a double mastectomy after discovering she carried a gene that increased her risk of developing breast and ovarian cancer, the same disease that killed her mother Marcheline Bertrand age 56.

LVMH chief's daughter to take top role at Louis Vuitton

PARIS (Reuters) - The daughter of LVMH boss Bernard Arnault, will take a top role at Louis Vuitton, the world's biggest luxury brand, the French luxury goods group said on Tuesday.

Delphine Arnault, 38, is leaving her post as deputy general manager of Dior, which she has held since 2008, to take a similar role at Louis Vuitton in September, reporting to chief executive, Michael Burke.

Her appointment comes as Louis Vuitton, known for its monogrammed handbags, faces a drop in European sales and sluggish demand in China.

Along with younger brother Antoine, who is currently chief executive of luxury Italian shoe maker Berluti, Bernard Arnault's eldest daughter Delphine has been groomed since her teens to take senior roles within LVMH.

A graduate of prestigious French business school EDHEC and the London School of Economics, she first learned the ropes of the family-controlled business as a teenage sales girl at a Dior boutique. She now sits on the LVMH board.

In her role at Dior, Arnault was credited for bringing creative director Raf Simons on board last year after the departure of John Galliano.

Simons' modern take on heritage Dior designs has since met with critical and commercial success, propelling sales and demand for couture clothes.

In December, Christian Dior Couture reported sales for the half-year to October 31 up 18 percent at 632 million euros ($840 million) and said margins had improved.

Delphine Arnault's father is chairman, chief executive and controlling shareholder of LVMH and the wealthiest man in France, controlling 60 luxury brands and a business that spans fashion, perfume, wine and watches.

Bernard Arnault caused an uproar in France when he sought Belgian citizenship last September - a move he said was meant to protect a foundation designed to control his family's holdings in LVMH if he dies, not to dodge new wealth taxes.

He has since abandoned plans to apply for Belgian citizenship.

Arnault is currently locked in a battle with the Hermes family, whom he shocked in 2010 by revealing that he held a 14 percent stake in their company.

Last month, the French stockmarket regulator AMF called for LVMH to receive the maximum fine for having failed to disclose moves to build up its holding in the 175-year-old maker of Birkin and Kelly handbags.

'Don't Be Tardy': Kim's Teen Daughter Feels Neglected

Kim Zolciak got a huge wake-up call from her older kids on "Don't Be Tardy...\" this week. Her 16-year-old daughter Brielle told her that she and her sister, Ariana, felt like their mom was neglecting them. Everything changed when Kim got married and had sons KJ and Kash.

"We don’t do anything. We don’t talk to you anymore," Brielle said.

Wetpaint called it another "tearjerker" episode of what is usually a light-hearted series. Kim was certainly tearing up at hearing the raw honesty from her daughter, and she responded with honesty as well. "I 100 percent agree with you that I’ve made some mistakes since I’ve had these boys," Kim admitted. "I’m having a hard time juggling. You know? I am.”

“Well so am I, mom. It’s not easy," Brielle said. And it's probably not going to get any easier for the family. The former "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star is reportedly pregnant with her fifth child.

Kim did say she would try harder to make time for Brielle and Ariana moving forward, and gave her daughters a shout-out via Twitter during the show. She wrote, "My girls are amazing!! We have been through a lot of changes and these last few years and adjusting isnt always easy!!"

The adjustments continue week by week on "Don't Be Tardy..." on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo.
