Lt. Sarah Jeon is the first Korean-American woman to pilot an AH-64D Apache helicopter in the U.S. Army. The Apache is an attack helicopter and female pilots are few and far between.

Deployed in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province in March this year, she is a platoon leader.
In a special lecture on Tuesday, Jeon addressed Korea's first female ROTC cadets of Sookmyung Women's University.
She said limits might be created by people according to their prejudice but there is nothing that woman cannot do just because they are women.
A second-generation Korean American born in California, Jeon entered the U.S. Military Academy on her father's advice and applied for the Army aviation branch because she liked flying. She was the only female among the officers in her class.
She said training was not particularly difficult, adding it all depends on a person's determination.
She added she is highly aware of Korea's national division because both her grandfathers escaped from North Korea.
