Kang Jung-ho Nexen Heroes' shortstop Kang Jung-ho is set to pursue his dream of playing in U.S. Major League Baseball.
Kang said on Tuesday that he will ask to be posted to the MLB in December as he planned.
"I'm determined to take a chance in the U.S. league," Kang said. "I know Ryu Hyun-jin has been doing well as a pitcher, and I hope to be as successful as he is. I will meet with my agent next week."
He will be represented by Alan Nero of Octagon, a global sports agency based in Virginia, U.S.
Kang joins two other pitchers -- Kim Kwang-hyun and Yang Hyeong-jong -- who have taken a step toward the MLB.
